We Teach More

The Diocese of Joliet observed strategies that St. Raphael School uses to engage students in different subject areas and at different grade levels: discussion/questioning; note-taking and summarizing; compare & contrast; graphic organizers; cooperative learning, small group and paired activities; hands-on activities and experiments; projects; presentations; PE's relay/blood flow; classroom use of technology, SMARTBoards, ALEKS; etc.

Catechism Of the Catholic Church 2229:  "As those first responsible for the education of their children, parents have the right to choose a school for them which corresponds to their own convictions. This right is fundamental. As far as possible, parents have the duty of choosing schools that will best help them in their task as Christian educators."  Please visit the Diocese of Joliet to learn more.
